Business Director

- Reports to Group Business Director
Your day to day
- Demonstrate excellence and leadership by providing exceptional client service and communication across every touchpoint.
- Project managing and elevating the delivery of required and requested projects, financial governance, reporting and tasks.
- Work closely with the Group Investment Director and Group Planning Director, acting as the voice of the client and help to anticipate obstacles and manage projects and people to ensure smooth delivery of work.
- Work closely with the Group Business Director to understand client needs, convey this knowledge to your team, and become the first port of call for your client when they are in need.
- Listen closely to client conversations to identify areas where Omnicom can help and access wider agency talent, teams and leaders to create and deliver solutions.
- Understand the roles and business pressures of each of the brands within the portfolio you work across, imparting this context to your team so their work can meet the brief beyond the brief.
- Nurture the growth of your team, emphasising the power of collaboration, and act as the supporting column, spotting pressure points and providing support where needed.
- Deliver high-quality work in line with PHD Media standards and ensure you and the team are appropriately skilled in key media trends and themes, especially digital, relevant to your clients.
- Have sufficient knowledge of all PHD's relevant product offerings, discussing the key benefits these can add to your clients' business.
- Have knowledgeable conversations with our SBU partners regarding your client activity, offering detailed briefs, and providing clear case histories that align with PHD's Insight.
- Be the expert at delivering inspirational ideas and services via the planning and buying teams, and make a strong effort to understand and work with the challenges of your senior clients.
- Proudly champion the great work by driving industry award submission workstreams.
About you
- Tertiary qualified, supplemented by 8–12 years of media planning & buying experience.
- Strong grip on media fundamentals and strategic planning capabilities.
- Skilled presenter with strong client relationship-building abilities.
- Detail-oriented — nothing gets by you.
- Confident with numbers and grammar.
- Reliable, punctual, and solution-focused under pressure.
- Positive, collaborative attitude that inspires your team.
