Group Business Director

Your day to day
- Manage and develop key senior relationships with your client.
- Control and constantly drive the quality or your team's output in the creation of plans and buys that reflect the insights and the ideas shaped from them
- Identify, recruit, manage and develop your team with a strong focus on inspiring the PHD values, beliefs and vision.
- Network within the marketing and media community in a manner than drives and distinguishes our position.
- Manage the productivity and profitability of your group and business to the required levels, including setting and reviewing fee levels.
- Identify and drive new business opportunities through existing or new business relationships.
- Develop and manage leadership task that benefits and serves the interests of the whole Agency.
- Understand our recommendations are grounded in consumer insights and that these insights should lead to communications recommendations not just traditional media plans
- Ensure work is executed as promised within the communication recommendations
Adherence to the PHD Client Servicing Principals
About you:
- Extensive Media Experience: Tertiary qualified with over 10 years of media planning and buying expertise, including strategic planning capabilities.
- Client Leadership & Communication: Strong client-facing, communication, and presentation skills, with proven client lead experience.
- Business & Revenue Growth: Demonstrated ability to drive business revenue and develop new income streams (e.g., SBU offerings).
- Performance & Results Focused: Consistently delivers against client business plans and contracts, achieving KPIs and maximising agency performance.
- Quality Control & Attention to Detail: Maintains total quality control across all client output; prioritises accuracy to avoid account issues.
- Team Leadership & Development: Experienced in training, mentoring, and managing team members of varying skill levels.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Skilled in balancing priorities and aligning diverse teams to deliver cohesive, high-quality work.
- Media Owner Engagement: Adept at briefing and articulating client objectives to media owners to secure best-in-market responses.
