Account Director

- Reporting to the Group Business Director
Account Director on PHD Melbourne's longest-standing client. Responsible for leading the client relationship and planning for one of the clients three product streams.
Highly collaborative team, this role is supported by specialists across strategy, digital and media implementation and works closely with the other 2 Account Directors to deliver across portfolio.
Extremely strong client and agency village relationship with a focus on work that drives marketing effectiveness, innovationand business outcomes for the client.
About the role:
As an Account Director you will:
- Origination of the Communications Plan: The creation of channel plans that build from the core media idea and demonstrate expert planning skills.
- Client relationship management: the principal client contact for the whole planning process.
- Leverage strong relationships & influence clients and media owners at all levels.
- Strategically deliver insightful media strategies for your client, in conjunction with the strategy team when appropriate.
- Identify strategic creative and innovative media initiatives that are born out of the strategic media direction and lead their implementation.
- Working alongside Strategy and Investment teams to ensure best possible product gets to market
- Ensure all media goals and strategies are achievable and executable within budgets using support of the Investment team.
- Own the planning process across all media, including digital. This will include making sure digital adheres to Source principles
About you:
- You've got a proven ability to lead the development of insights and creative communication solutions.
- You've got the agency's best interest at heart, always looking for opportunities to collaborate and include SBU's as a means of driving additional revenue.
- Ability to clearly brief and articulate client goals to media owners to deliver best in market responses.
- You can hold your own in a conversation and use your social skills to form strong relationships with your team and your clients.
- You can work on your own with minimal supervision.
- You're confident being the principal client contact for the whole planning process
