What is the Google Cloud Engineer?

The Google Cloud Engineer is central to the technical excellence the agency provides to its clients. This role emphasises hands-on technical work, developing and deploying cloud solutions tailored to clients' needs. While their primary focus is on engineering, they will also collaborate closely with consultants and other teams to ensure the developed solutions align with broader business goals.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop and implement bespoke Google Cloud solutions tailored to clients' specific requirements.
• Utilise Google Cloud data engineering tools, including Cloud Composer, Data Flow, and Cloud Run.
• Oversee the design, deployment, and management of scalable and reliable Google Cloud architectures.
• Integrate DevOps methodologies to streamline software development, deployment, and monitoring.
• Collaborate closely with the Google Cloud Consultants to ensure that technical solutions align with the business focus and goals.
• Support on projects including Composable CDP Development, Looker Dashboard Data Engineering, Vertex AI Data Pipeline Development and various Marketing Analytics Solutions.

 The person we are looking for...

• Strong storytelling skills and ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical clients and colleagues.
• Technical Communication: Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
• Professional experience of at least two years in cloud, data engineering or analytics
• Experience with SQL and NonSQL databases.
• Experience in data warehousing and database administration.
