Details regarding the role
Your role is predominantly to lead campaign strategies and brand solutions / initiatives for dedicated clients to create new brand and business opportunities. These strategies should be grounded in measurable outcomes, and align with KPI benchmarks as relevant to comms, business & brand. You will continue to ‘check in' on strategies once in market to continue to drive opportunity, responding to events, business / consumer actions and campaign tracking. Collaborate with Account Leadership, Planning / AM / AD leads, Digital, Create, Trading and Resolution teams to ensure strategies are executable and distinctive in market.
The day-to-day responsibilities:
- Leading brand and campaign strategies, ensuring adherence to our strategic process, OMD Design, identifying trends and behaviours and utilising our proprietary tools.
- Help build OMD's reputation as a “strategic communication agency” through best in class work that shapes in market solutions and is recognised as best practise.
- Developing innovative communication strategies on key clients, which tangibly shapes, influences and inspires new behaviour
- Championing strategic thinking in agency and mentoring junior talent
- Proactive client engagement including thought leadership pieces, regular proactive ideas outside briefs and market intelligence
- Community Leadership & Management
What you'll need:
- Demonstrated ability to lead the development of brand and campaign strategies
- Proficiency in identifying industry trends and consumer behaviors, with a track record of leveraging proprietary tools for strategic insights.
- Ability to conceive and develop innovative communication strategies for key clients that effectively shape, influence, and inspire new behaviors in the target audience.
- Strong commitment to championing strategic thinking within the agency, with a willingness to mentor and guide junior talent in developing strategic acumen.
- Proactive and client-focused approach, including thought leadership contributions, the generation of ideas outside of client briefs, and the continuous monitoring of market intelligence to inform strategies
- Demonstrated capacity to lead and manage teams effectively within the agency, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment for strategic development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex client challenges and opportunities.
- A client-first approach, with a focus on understanding client needs and delivering tailored solutions that drive success.
