Job Description
OMD offers a truly multi-disciplinary approach to media strategy, planning and buying. What you'll do:
- Lead campaign strategies and brand solutions & initiatives for dedicated clients to create new brand and business opportunities
- Collaborate with Account Leadership, Planning, Account Managers, Account Directors, Digital, Create, Trading and Resolution teams to ensure strategies are executable and distinctive in market.
- Take ownership of the OMD Design process, demonstrating best in practice application to deliver cutting edge strategies & ideas
- Demonstrate strategic leadership of the client comms opportunities, create solutions, and opportunities both in response to briefs and proactively
- Provide feedback on strategic on presentations and client thought leadership
- Leverage multiple sources of research to develop insights, with focus on understanding and applying the advantage of OMD's proprietary tools
- Proactive client engagement including thought leadership pieces, regular proactive ideas outside briefs and market intelligence
- Continuous ‘check in' on strategies once in market to drive opportunity, respond to events, business or consumer actions and campaign tracking
What you'll need:
- Experience developing innovative communication strategies on key clients, which tangibly shapes, influences and inspires new behaviour
- Seek proactive strategic opportunities for brands where relevant outside of confines of brief in response to culture and topical media opportunities
- Understanding of measurable outcomes, and ability to align with KPI benchmarks as relevant to comms, business & brand
- Ability to champion strategic thinking in agency and mentor junior team members
- Able to build client engagement through thought leadership pieces, regular proactive ideas outside briefs and market intelligence
- Naturally inquisitive mindset and the ability to research and extract data in order to build narrative and deliver on client goals
- Understanding of the media landscape and experience in media planning
- Demonstrated experience in a similar Strategy Director position preferably within media agency
